20 Women @ Ashawagh Hall

June 11th, 2008

From the East Hampton Star:

Vito Sisti, who has been organizing shows at Ashawagh Hall in Springs for almost two decades, will present work by 20 women for two weeks beginning Saturday. The tradition began with shows Mr. Sisti traditionally curated after the summer season ended, but for the past few seasons he’s upped the ante and hired the hall for a summer exhibit.

On display will be paintings and sculpture by Lenore Bailey, Toni Lind, Joanlee Montefusco, Lily Singer, Mary Laspia, Evan Zatti, T. Herndon Kennedy, Mary Antczak, Abby Abrams, Linda Butti, Trish Franey, Kate Castoro, Annette Heller, Jana Hayden, Ruby Jackson, Francis Nenikot, Setha Low, Betty Lipton, Lisa Weston, and Sally Richardson. The show kicks off with a reception Saturday from 5 to 10 p.m. with music by “Mama Lee and Friends.” The hall will be open from noon to five daily through June 22.
